Bluedot

Bluedot is the other call recorder TopClosers supports, and it records without putting a bot in the meeting. Like Fathom, it is a per-closer connection: the account a recording arrives on is what credits the call to that person.

Setup works differently from Fathom. Bluedot has no public API, so connecting is a two-sided handshake: TopClosers gives you a webhook address, you register it inside Bluedot, and you paste that endpoint’s signing secret back.

  • An active Bluedot account with access to Automation → Integrations → Webhook.
  • The same email in both tools. The email you record with in Bluedot must be your TopClosers invitation email, or the call will stay pending assignment.
  • Your calendar connected inside Bluedot. Without it, Bluedot sends no attendee emails: the call is still ingested and scored, but the lead cannot be identified and the call cannot be linked to its appointment.
  • An active subscription for your agency; see Plans and billing.
  1. Open Settings → Integrations in TopClosers.

On the Call recording card, click Choose recorder on your row (or Change if you already have one) and select Bluedot.

  2. Copy your webhook address.

The form shows an address that is unique to you, with a button to copy it. It is personal: the address a recording arrives on is what credits it to your profile, so do not share it with anyone on the team.

  3. Create the endpoint in Bluedot.

In Bluedot, go to Automation → Integrations → Webhook and add the address you just copied as a new endpoint.

  4. Subscribe the endpoint to the events.

TopClosers lists the events to subscribe to right in the form and marks which ones are required: those are the ones that carry the transcript, which is what gets scored. The simplest and safest option is to tick them all.

  5. Reveal the signing secret and copy it.

Open the endpoint you just created in Bluedot and reveal its signing secret. It starts with whsec_.

  6. Paste it into TopClosers and click “Connect Bluedot”.

You will see “Bluedot connected — new recordings will appear automatically”. The row now shows the Bluedot label and the Active status.

When you finish your next meeting recorded with Bluedot:

  1. The call appears on the Calls page, credited to you.
  2. TopClosers scores it against the active manual and produces the analysis report with overall score, per-phase score, strengths, improvements and key moments.
  3. If the agency has a scheduling tool or CRM connected, it is linked to its appointment when the contact and the time slot match.

One meeting can arrive in several deliveries (transcript, details, summary). Do not worry: they are all grouped into a single call, you will not see duplicates.

Each closer records with one tool at a time. To move to Fathom, click Change on your row and pick Fathom: the Bluedot connection is replaced and calls already received stay exactly as they are.

Click Disconnect on your row and confirm.

  • New recordings stop syncing to TopClosers.
  • Calls, transcripts and scores already here stay put.
  • The signing secret is removed from TopClosers.

“That does not look like a Bluedot signing secret.” The right value starts with whsec_ and comes from the page of the endpoint you created, not from anywhere else. Reveal it and copy the whole thing again.

I connected, but no calls arrive. Check in Bluedot, in this order: that the endpoint has the exact address TopClosers gave you (no spaces or extra characters), that it is subscribed to the required events, and that the meeting was recorded after you connected. Remember there is no history import.

Calls arrive with no attendees, or never link to an appointment. Your calendar is not connected inside Bluedot. Without it there are no attendee emails, so the lead cannot be identified and the call cannot be linked to its appointment.

Exactly the important calls are missing. Bluedot can exclude recordings marked as private from delivery. Check that setting in your Bluedot account: those meetings never reach TopClosers.

The call arrives but is credited to someone else. Every webhook address is personal. If two closers registered the same address, everything is credited to whoever owns it. Each person must copy their own from their own row.

The call appears but has no score. Check that there is an active sales manual, that the subscription is up to date, and that the delivery included the transcript — no transcript, no score.

If it still does not work, see Common issues or contact support from Account and support.
